On the 2nd of December 2022, people all across the UK dress as elves to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Society Charity. Alzheimer's Society is a community of supporters, volunteers and staff passionate about making a difference to the lives of people with dementia.
Here at Plumbco, as well as collecting online donations, some of our wonderful team decided to deliver donated Christmas gifts to the lovely Glenvale Park Care Home. Glenvale Park Care Home provides daily care and support to residents living with Alzheimer’s disease.
We asked you generous people to donate gifts such as shower sets, home comforts, games/puzzles, Christmas treats and more. Together we gathered enough items for four beautiful hampers full of lovely treats and a large gift box!
Fee (Showroom & Installations Manager), Holly (Showroom Assistant), Louise (Social Media Manager), John (Warehouse Operative) and Millie (Ecommerce Manager) put on their best elf attire and travelled over to Glenvale Park Care Home, gifts in hand. We even had our Operations Director, Karl, dressed as Father Christmas himself! Seeing the pure joy and delight on the residents' faces was a true gift in itself. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone that shared and donated. As well as, thanking the lovely staff and residents at Glenvale Park Care home. It was definitely a beautiful day to remember!
