The roots of Plumbco can be traced back to 1992 when Andrew Goodey and Karl Howell, two visionaries with a shared passion for the plumbing industry, set out to establish a plumbing and heating merchant that would stand out from the crowd. With a commitment to exceptional customer service and a vision to provide homeowners and tradespeople with expert advice and a wide range of high-quality products, they opened their first branch in Northampton with one van and just three members of staff.

In 1996, Plumbco relocated to Ise Valley Estate in Wellingborough, Northants, marking a significant milestone in the company's growth. The move provided more space to accommodate a growing customer base and expand the product range.

In 1998, Plumbco further solidified its presence in Wellingborough by relocating to its current location on Finedon Road. With the expansion of its facilities, Plumbco continued to thrive, expanding its product range and customer base.

To cater to homeowners seeking to transform their living spaces, Plumbco embarked on a major expansion in 2004. The company opened its Kitchen and Bathroom showroom, taking over the unit next door to its Finedon Road branch. This move transformed Plumbco into a one-stop destination for homeowners seeking complete home improvement solutions.

In 2013, Plumbco's Kitchen and Bathroom showroom underwent a rebranding initiative, becoming Interiors by Goodey & Howell. This rebranding reflected the company's commitment to providing homeowners with a comprehensive range of home improvement solutions, extending beyond plumbing and heating to include kitchen and bathroom design.

Plumbco's growth trajectory continued in 2014 with the opening of another Plumbing & Heating branch in Gambrel Road, Northampton. This expansion further strengthened Plumbco's position as a leading provider of plumbing and heating solutions in the region.

In 2015, the Plumbco group expanded its footprint in Wellingborough by taking over an additional unit adjacent to its Finedon Road branch. This acquisition marked a significant milestone in the company's growth, demonstrating its commitment to providing homeowners and tradespeople with a convenient one-stop shopping experience.
