A heat only boiler, also refered to as a 'regular' or 'conventional' boiler, fits onto a system that consists of two tanks. One being the hot water cylinder and one being the boiler system itself. The heat only boiler provides heating directly to the radiators and works with a cylinder to provide hot water. They often work on what is called an 'open-vented' heating system, i.e. there is a Feed and Expansion tank in the loft, but they can work on a 'sealed' system too.
